the beldum had long since been left at the daycare while trainer was busy. The woman had business in all sorts of places and days like this she left one of them behind to entertain themselves.

Nestled at the top of the slide, the pokemon watched as the new comer ran up it just to slide back down with an indifference commonly seen in its species. He hummed something but it wasn't terribly loud or really anything in particular.

The pokemon watched from above, peeking from where he hid only barely out of curiosity.

One thing about Wob was that the Pokemon just didn't know how to give up whatsoever. It slid back down the slide... And immediately tried to climb back up. This time, Wob went sliding down on its back, starting to spin around when it hit the ground, its tailspin going comically long before it finally came to a stop. "Wy..." The Wynaut would groan as it toddled around a bit as it got its bearings... And then immediately went for the slide again.

This time the Wynaut got a little higher. But that also meant the flight down was a lot faster, and the Wynaut's tailspin sent it crashing into the wall.

If one could say a beldum chuckles, Benjamin did. An odd little sound from the top of the slide as he watched the other pokemon. Perhaps because it is something he has seen in many of the garden's own inhabitants. The stubbornness and tenacity seemed to be rampant, likely imparted by their mutual human companion. The woman rarely quit anything so easily herself.

And perhaps that is why the pokemon finds itself floating down the contour of the slide after the small blue pokemon fails to climb it again, following its trail as it goes. Once he finds his mark, up against the wall he nudges at the pokemon, encouraging it to rise again. Not that it's much more than a butting of a head, the beldum is not capable of much just yet.

Wob was stubborn. Very stubborn. And didn't really know what "quit" was. So by the time the Beldum began to float toward the blue blob, it had already kicked its stubby feet about before bouncing itself upwards and back to its base. But Wob was very much about to attempt to make the attempt once more - unfettered by its past failures and seeming intent to climb up the slide if it was the last thing that it did - until the Beldum would catch up to it and bop it with its head.

This caught the Wynaut's attention, and Wob looked to it with a curious eye. "Wy?" The Wynaut inquired, tilting its head. "Wynaut?"

The Beldum didn't have long to express any point it planned to make. The scatterbrained Wynaut had about ten to fifteen seconds max before its attention would divert back to the slide.

The beldum had only one intention, because truly it could see no reason to deter the pokemon from its current course. What would its trainer think to do? What she always did and push a pokemon forward, encouraging in her own devilish manner and it was passed on to her pokemon. A unique idea perhaps, but her pokeon helped each other just as much as she helped them.

And that is what drives the beldum to make no attempts at distracting the wynaut, but rather to start pushing its little blue body back towards the slide again. It didn't seem like it really needed encouragement of course but that intent was the same.

After all, the beldum could not do much yet, but he could follow behind the little blue creature and hold him up as he tried to make it up the slide.

The Wynaut didn't take long before it started to dart toward the slide again. The Wynaut was still very one-track minded toward its goal, taking off full speed as it ran up the slide. As it began to slide down again though, the Wynaut would find a force keeping it from falling back. It didn't take long for Wob to decide that this meant that it could continue going up. So Wob continued running full speed, even if the slide's downward slope meant it was going up very slowly, until it finally managed to reach the top.

Wob nearly flew over the stairs on the other end of the slide, but managed to catch itself. Turning, it seemed to acknowledge that the Beldum had been a help to it. "Wy! Wynaut!" It chirped cheerfully, seeming to be thanking it.

Benjamin continued the steady push up the slide. It was a slow endeavor but he thought of it as a practice in patience. It was something his trainer often sought to teach them anyway, thinking timing and patience a key to many things. At least that's what the pokemon before him often said when the subject came up. The woman seemed to have many things she liked to impart on her pokemon.

Benjamin thrummed with approval when they made it to the top, floating just above the surface, and quick to return to his little hiding spot. Whatever nonsense the other pokemon was speaking of seemed to be met with the same noise as before. The pokemon was not overly talkative yet, still deciding how he felt about such things. For now he would return to simply watching the blue pokemon, in hopes it might not need much more help.

Wob wasn't the smartest Pokemon in the world. Nor the most attentive or most cunning. But the Wynaut didn't forget when someone, either man or Pokemon, did it a kindness. So the Wynaut did not hesitate to give its chattering thank-yous, and continue to hop up and down with "Wy"s even as the Beldum would disappear back into its hiding spot.

Eventually it stopped, and then turned and went to run up the slide again. This time it picked up speed, trying to follow the example from before... It persisted and persisted, and finally, without help... Managed to make its way up. Wob would let out a few more excited chattering noises before zooming down the slide once more.

"Wynaut!"

The chirpy sounds were followed by a stop once it hit the ground. And then...

A glow began to envelop the very happy Wynaut. In moments, its tiny body began to morph and change as it began to suddenly grow in size. When the glow faded, the Wynaut was replaced with a large blue blob. This blob let out one more, very excited and cheery cry as a large blobby hand went to their head in salute.

"WOBBUFFET!"

The beldum peaks out from his hiding spot when the other pokemon seems to go for another run at the slide again. He does not see what is so appealing about the activity and as such, leaves it to the other pokemon to figure it out for itself this time. With luck the little creature manages it now that it's gotten the idea better. At least that is what Benjamin assumes.

And then, the pokemon begins to glow and the little beldum hums with curiosity as it watches the event transpire. The pokemon comes out of the bright light anew and if the pokemon had a face its eyebrows would be raised with curiosity. However ti does not and is left to wonder in its own silence at endeavor.

The beldum settles back into his hiding spot to contemplate what had occurred, waiting for his trainer to inevitably return for him.
